Dr. Prashant Makhija is a Consultant Neurologist with an experience of more than 10yrs. He completed his D.M. (Neurology) from the prestigious GIPMER, Delhi (erstwhile G.B. Pant Hospital, Delhi).
He specializes in treating various neurological disorders including Stroke, Epilepsy, Headache, Sleep disorders, Parkinson’s, Dementia, Neuropathy as well as other brain and nerve-related issues. He has done a fellowship in Epilepsy and sleep medicine and also has a certification from the World Sleep Society as an International Sleep Disorders Specialist. In addition, he completed the Emergency Neurological Life Support certificate course by the Neurocritical Society of America.
He is the recipient of the Young Investigator Award by the World Stroke Organization at the 10th World Stroke Congress, the Budur Krishna Murthy Silver Jubilee Conference award & NIMHANS Internship Award (Goasleep 2017, ISSR). He has publications in national and international journals and also authored book chapters in Neurology textbooks. He is known for his empathetic and compassionate behavior towards patients.
