These are found\nin fish and some plant foods as well. Researchers have noted that omega-3\npolyunsaturated fatty acids may be mood stabilizers, playing a role in mental\nwell-being. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Fatty fish like salmon\nare rich in omega-3 fatty acids, &nbsp;may\nlower your risk of depression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;A good source of this nutrient is\nground&nbsp;flaxseed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other sources include canola oil, purslane (an herb), cauliflower, red kidney beans, and beans<strong>.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Top selenium-rich foods are Brazil nuts, oysters,\nalbacore tuna, clams, sardines, pork tenderloin, crab, saltwater and freshwater\nfish, whole-wheat and regular pastas, lean pork chops, chicken (dark and light\nmeat), and low-fat yogurt.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Tryptophan produing<\/strong> Serotonin is also known as &#8220;feel-good&#8221; neurotransmitter &#8212;\ncommunicates &#8220;happy&#8221; messages to your brain. Eating&nbsp;<em>carbohydrates\nsuch as beans whole grains and vegetables&nbsp;\nand folic acid supplements <\/em>&nbsp;seems to help tryptophan&#8217;s chances\nof crossing the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.webmd.com\/heart\/anatomy-picture-of-blood\">blood<\/a>\/brain barrier\nand stimulating serotonin levels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Certain nuts and seeds are high in\ntryptophan, zinc, and selenium, which may support brain function and can reduce\nbad mood swings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3) Dark chocolate is\nrich in compounds that may increase feel-good chemicals in your brain enhancing\nyour mood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4) Fruits like Bananas\nare a great source of natural sugar, vitamin B6, and prebiotic fiber, which\nwork together to keep your blood sugar levels and acts as mood stabliser.\nBerries are rich in disease-fighting anthocyanins, which may lower your risk of\ndepression too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5) Oats provide fibre\nthat can stabilize your blood sugar levels and boost your mood. They\u2019re also\nhigh in iron, which may improve mood symptoms in those with iron deficiency anaemia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6) Coffee provides\nnumerous compounds, including caffeine and chlorogenic acid, that may boost\nyour mood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7) Beans and lentils are rich sources of mood-boosting nutrients,\nparticularly B vitamins<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is quiet common that when you feel down you may\ncrave calorie-rich, high sugar foods like&nbsp;ice cream&nbsp;or cookies to try\nto lift your spirits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember that a sugar rush &nbsp;&nbsp;in\nthe long term may have negative consequences as well.
