However, after the surgery, her cancer spread to her lungs. The family of this patient, after consulting with a few doctors, chose to get her treated by Dr. Vaibhav Choudhary, Consultant- Medical Oncology, Wockhardt Hospitals, Nagpur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The patient underwent treatment with Dr. Choudhary after being explained the entire case and the fact that they were suggested to take \u2018Targeted therapy\u2019 (Targeted therapy is&nbsp;a type of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wockhardthospitals.com\/speciality\/medical-oncology\/\">cancer treatment<\/a> that uses drugs or other substances to precisely identify and attack certain types of cancer cells).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe patient required admission for supportive care for 13 days including 3 days in ICU with assisted ventilation and was given targeted therapy for her treatment\u201d, informed Dr. Choudhary. \u201cShe gave a good response to the therapy and was discharged successfully after being on the verge of demise\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The above patient was brought to Wockhardt Hospitals in an emergency after her situation was degrading at her home.
