Visitor Guidelines in Rajkot

For the comfort and care of all our patients we except our visitors to observe the following rules:

  • Only two visitors per patient are permitted at a time.
  • Visitors must wear the Visitors Pass issued by a public safety officer while in the hospital.
  • Visitors under the age of 12 are generally not allowed on the floor, except with special permission.
  • Smoking by patients, visitors and staff is strictly prohibited.
  • Visitors are requested to keep visits brief and to speak softly.
  • Reception Areas, Visitors Lounge and Waiting Rooms are for the use of multiple families. Please be respectful of others while using these spaces.
  • Do not visit with an infectious disease, such as a cold or flu. We encourage you to use hand sanitizer or wash your hands often to keep yourself and your family safe.
  • Please avoid sitting on the patient’s bed as this can spread germs. Use the chairs provided. Do not put your feet on the patient’s bed. Don’t touch the patient’s wounds or any medical equipment they are attached to, such as drips or catheters. This can cause infections.
  • Please keep your cell phones on silent mode. Cell phones are prohibited in some areas. Ask the nurse in-charge if you have questions about using your cell phone.
  • Kindly leave the room if the doctor/nurse/therapist arrives to examine or talk to the patient as the conversation or treatment he/she provides is private, unless you are a proxy, parent, spouse or someone else who is an official advocate for the patient.
  • Intensive Care Unit: Visitors are generally restricted to immediate family. Due to the intensity of care given in this area, 10-minute visits on an hourly basis are recommended.
  • For Neonatal and Paediatric ICU, Parents are encouraged to be at their child’s bedside 24/7. No outside food or drink allowed in any ICU or the hospital.
  • Please respect patient privacy; do not wander around the hospital/unit or ask about the condition of another patient.
  • Violence and aggression towards staff, patients or members of the public is not tolerated in the hospital.
  • Visitation conflicts or deviation from policy adherence will be referred to the nurse in-charge or Nurse Manager. Safety and Security Department officers will be contacted as necessary.
